Dexter is a registered yearling Arabian gelding. He came to PHH Fall 2007 after he was impaled on a T-Post; his owner did not want to invest in the medical expense to fix his wounds and opted to put him down. More...
A flashy Arab gelding with plenty of spirit to match, Boukra is currently in training with Theresa Vandre. He can be ridden but needs to work on relaxing under the saddle.

A personable bay mare, Baylee came to PHH early in 2008 as part of a seizure. She had been left in a round pen with no food and dirty water for at least 3 months and resorted to eating the wood of the round pen to struggle to live. She was seized after another horse had been found starved to death in a ditch nearby.

Sweet and relaxed, Whitey is the one you'll find with his head hanging over the stall door just so that he doesn't miss a thing.
12/15/08 update: When Whitey came to us we were told that he was broke to ride but we always go back to square one with the rescue horses.

One of two wild stallions rounded up in Concrete, Washington in early 2009, Bo is a beautiful--and now gelded--horse that is currently in training with Kyle Churchill. Bo is curious about people and appears to have a fairly easy temperament.

Cookie is a 3 year old quarter horse type mare that came to PHH through Skagit County Animal Control in September 2009. When the county seized her she had a halter grown into her face and she was untouchable.

Cody is a 7 year old Arabian gelding that came to PHH from a woman who is terminal with cancer and quickly losing the battle. He has not been started under saddle so we are currently working on some ground work to prepare him to be started under saddle soon.
